Event Description

Prerequisites: ECC, Book 1 (or 1A+1B), 2, 3 and membership in SAA.

Thursday Mornings 8am-10am with observation opportunities immediately following the course.

Prerequisite course:

Viola Unit 3, or Violin Unit 3

Audition: Violin Basic, or Violin Intermediate, or Violin Comprehensive, or Viola Basic, or Viola Intermediate, or Viola Comprehensive.

Deadline: All audition materials must be submitted by September 28 *
*A discounted Audition Fee applies if audition is submitted before August 3. If submitted within 8-weeks of the course start date, the regular audition fee will apply.

Trainer Information

Judy Bossuat-Gallic

A graduate of Dr. Suzuki’s Matsumoto Talent Education Institute, Judy Bossuat-Gallic has taught violin and trained teachers for over 45 years. Her contact with Dr. Suzuki began in 1974 and continued yearly through 1990. She is a registered Suzuki Teacher Trainer for SAA and the European Suzuki Association, and an honorary member of ESA as recognition for her 16 years of pioneer work in the early days of the Suzuki Method in Europe. She has been national secretary of the American String Teachers Association, and was on the board of the National String Project Consortium for many years. Bossuat-Gallic has taught and presented sessions at numerous workshops, institutes, national and international conferences all over the world. She offers children’s lessons and teacher training in Dallas and also teaches at the Sacramento State University where she is the Master Teacher of the String Project.
