Event Description
The Workshop aims to create a Suzuki community in Pernambuco, connecting teachers, parents and students, encouraging through these gatherings other children to study music and being part of the “big Suzuki Family” in our State. We will have rehearsals and group classes of the Suzuki repertory for the instruments Violin, Viola and Cello, culminating with a concert on October 7th, 2017.
O Encontro visa criar uma comunidade Suzuki em Pernambuco, unindo professores, pais e alunos, incentivando através desses encontros outras crianças a estudarem música e comporem a “grande família Suzuki” do nosso Estado. Teremos ensaios e aulas em grupo do repertório Suzuki para os instrumentos Violino, Viola e Cello, culminando com um grande concerto no dia 7 de outubro de 2017 na Catedral Anglicana da Santíssima Trindade.

Trainer Information
I’ve been a violin teacher since 1989 and viola since 2005, for over thirty years I’ve been teaching through the Suzuki philosophy. I graduated in music (violin) from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and Faculdade Claretiando, master in Arts and Music from Campbellsville University. She did a specialization in neuroeducation and neuroscience at Faculdade Campos Elíseos, Applied Neuroscience at UFPE. I have a technical course in Functional Neurometry by the Brazilian Society of Neurometry. In 2017, I started working with SECE, the same year we created the Centro Suzuki Pernambuco. Currently, in addition to teaching violin/viola and SECE at Centro Suzuki Pernambuco, I am also a professor at the Conservatório Pernambucano de Música. Since 2021 I have been part of the board of Associação Musical Suzuki do Brasil. Master’s student in Neurosciences at the Department of Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
