Event Description

Guitar Unit 3, with William Kossler

15 hours of lecture to take place March through June, over 8 Saturdays, from 3—5 PM, held at Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. 58 Seventh Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217.

Observations to take place March—June, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays as needed.

This course is a rare opportunity to pursue this training without the usual in-residence expenses associated with Suzuki training.

Suzuki Guitar training explores all aspects of guitar pedagogy with experienced teachers and also offers the opportunity to observe master teachers on site working with students of all levels.  The method does not produce “cookie cutter” teachers or students, but rather offers teachers access to the accumulated experience of many teachers internationally, encouraging experimentation and innovation. The goal of the course is to give guitarists a huge boost on their way to developing themselves as artist teachers.

Early Bird Discount due August 14, 2017: $650

Prerequisite course:

Guitar Unit 2

Audition: Guitar Basic, or Guitar Intermediate, or Guitar Comprehensive.

Deadline: All audition materials must be submitted by March 6 *

Signup closed.
