Event Description

Every Child Can! logoEvery Child Can! an introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

Audience

Open to non-teachers, prospective teachers, parents, administrators and all others interested in learning about Suzuki approach to education. It is required course for anyone with a desire to begin Suzuki Method instrumental training. ECC is not instrument-specific. Experienced Suzuki teachers are also encouraged to participate for renewed inspiration or review.

Venue

The course will be in Fort Worth, Texas at Orchestra Hall, home of the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra and FWYO Suzuki School. The address is: Orchestra Hall, 4401 Trail Lake Drive, Fort Worth, Texas.

Course Schedule

Every Child Can with Ms. Judy will be Friday, May 5, 2017 from 9:30am to 4:00pm.

The morning portion of the course is from 9:30am to 12:30pm.

We have a short lunch break for the day will be from 12:30pm to 1:00pm. We will be ordering box lunches. You can being your own lunch, or pay $12 and choose a box lunch. (List box lunch options). We have a large refrigerator available for storing your lunch if you bring your own lunch. We also have a microwave oven available if needed. This is a short lunch break so we can end earlier. We plan on people to be still eating their meal when we begin the course again at 1:00pm.

The afternoon portion is from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Materials

Tuition includes a $30.00 ECC manual from the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and will be given to you when arrive at the course.

Waiting List

We are limited to 30 course participants. In the event that the course fills, you will be put on waiting list. If you are put on a waiting list, and we are unable to include you in the course, your payment will be refunded.

Auditing & Observations

Auditing or observing this course without paying will not be an option. The course will be limited to paying participants.

Tuition

In order to give you the best possible tuition rate, tuition will be dependent on the number of participants that register for the course. The minimum tuition will be $75 if we have 30 participants register. The maximum tuition will be $125 if we only have only 5 participants.

5-12 participants tuition will be $125.00.

13-21 participants tuition will be $100.00.

22-30 participants tuition will be $75.00.

Registration and Payment

Register and pay through our online form. The minimum $75.00 tuition is due at time of registration. We will only accept payment via debit or credit cards through our online registration form.

Final tuition will be set one week before the course, and based on the number of registered participants at that time. In the event that the course is not full, the additional tuition amount will be due by Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

Canceliations

Participants can cancel and receive a full refund until Thursday, April 27, 2017. After Thursday, April 28, 2017 no refunds will be given.

Trainer Information

Judy Bossuat-Gallic

A 1978 graduate of Dr. Suzuki’s Matsumoto Talent Education Institute, Judy Bossuat-Gallic’s contact with Dr. Suzuki began in 1974 and continued yearly through 1990. A registered Suzuki Teacher Trainer for SAA and the European Suzuki Association, she is an honorary member of ESA in recognition for her 16 years of pioneer work during the early days of the Suzuki Method in Europe. Bossuat has taught violin and trained teachers for 50 years at over 400 International Conferences, Institutes and Workshops all over the world.  Known for silently teaching large groups of children, she offers lessons and teacher training online, in Lodi, C.A. and Geneseo N.Y. A past board member of the American String Teachers Association and the National String Project Consortium, she also has held faculty positions at Sacramento State University, University of the Pacific, and University of Oregon. Currently she is a member of the new SAA Suzuki Training Committee.
