Advanced Cello-Teaching Suite No.1 for Solo Cello by J.S Bach: A Balance Between the Informed and Inclusive
Instructor: David Evenchick,
Our goal in teaching Solo Bach is to ignite a personal sense of discovery in those cellists we guide. This course addresses three necessary developmental ingredients in this timeless music. Firstly, a review of Suzuki repertoire that can be used to develop basic theoretical ideas and vocabulary, the second consists of more specialized techniques, and the third is a discussion of current approaches to interpretation.
Prerequisite: All books covered in the overview course.
Audition: Cello Basic, or Cello Intermediate, or Cello Comprehensive.
Deadline: All audition materials must be submitted by June 15 *
*A discounted Audition Fee applies if audition is submitted before April 20. If submitted within 8-weeks of the course start date, the regular audition fee will apply.
2 enrolled out of 15 maximum.
