Event Description

Price includes t-shirt, 28 hours of instruction, 15 hours of observation and is in addition to the $50 family registration fee. You must be enrolled in or have taken Every Child Can (ECC) prior to the beginning of institute. If you are taking ECC as well, you will only be charged one registration fee.

12:30-2:00 p.m. TW Luncheon (provided)

2-5 p.m. Classes

Monday, June 19-Friday, June 23

9-12 and 2 -5 p.m. (this includes three hours of class and observation time)

Saturday, June 24

2:00-5:00 p.m. Classes

*You must attend ALL classes and observation to get credit for the course.

Please note that the price for this level will go to $790 after April 1st

Prerequisite course:

Every Child Can!, or Filosofía

Audition: Cello Basic, or Cello Intermediate, or Cello Comprehensive.

Deadline: All audition materials must be submitted by June 6 *
*A discounted Audition Fee applies if audition is submitted before April 21. If submitted within 8-weeks of the course start date, the regular audition fee will apply.

Trainer Information

Pamela Devenport

Internationally recognized lecturer and master teacher Pamela Devenport teaches Long Term Cello Suzuki Pedagogy at the School for Strings, New York, NY. Ms. Devenport has shared her unique blend of expertise and experience with hundreds of people in the Suzuki Community throughout the worldCellostart available through United Writers Press.

Well known and respected as a Suzuki cello workshop and institute teacher, Ms. Devenport has toured extensively around the world. She has been a guest speaker on many occasions, including the National Cello Institute, the American String Teachers Association, several Suzuki Association National Conferences, the World Cello Congress, and guest faculty/lecturer at International Conferences in Australia, Italy, New Zealand, and Great Britain, and Korea. She is faculty, and the Chair of Cello at the School for Strings in New York City.
