Event Description

Price includes t-shirt, 28 hours of instruction, 15 hours of observation and is in addition to the $50 family registration fee. You must be enrolled in or have taken Every Child Can (ECC) prior to the beginning of institute. If you are taking ECC as well, you will only be charged one registration fee.

5-6 p.m. TW Orchestra


Saturday, June 17

10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Classes

12:30-2:00 p.m. TW Luncheon (provided)

2-5 p.m. Classes


Monday, June 19-Friday, June 23

9-12 and 2 -5 p.m. (this includes three hours of class and observation time)


Saturday, June 24

2:00-5:00 p.m. Classes

*You must attend ALL classes and observation to get credit for the course.

Please note that the price for this level will go to $790 after April 1st

Prerequisite course:

Every Child Can!, or Filosofía

Audition: Violin Basic, or Violin Intermediate, or Violin Comprehensive, or Viola Basic, or Viola Intermediate, or Viola Comprehensive.

Trainer Information

David Strom

David Strom resides in the Washington, DC, area, where he co-directs the Northern Virginia Suzuki Music School in Mclean, VA, with Ronda Cole and the Herndon Suzuki School in Ashburn, VA, with Will Hurd. Mr. Strom is an SAA Registered Teacher Trainer. He is a frequent clinician at workshops and institutes around the country. He holds a BM from the Hartt School and an MM from the University of Maryland. David is a former Suzuki kid, and proud father of daughter Juliet.
