Every Child Can! logoEvery Child Can! is a one day introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

ECC will be offered Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017 from 12:30 to 7 p.m. at the Suzuki School of Newton, c/o Temple Reyim, 1860 Washington Street. This is the first requirement in the Suzuki Teacher Development program and is not instrument specific. Please be aware that this is a kosher dairy (vegetarian) facility. More details will be sent upon registration.

Sachiko Isihara

Sachiko Isihara was born in Cheverly, Maryland, but her family moved to New York City and then to Buffalo. She did her Bachelor’s in Piano Performance at New England Conservatory and a Master’s in Piano Performance at Juilliard. She has been a member of SAA since 1984. Her Suzuki training includes being a Kenkyusei in Matsumoto in 1993 and a long term apprenticeship with Colette Daltier in France. Sachiko has completed European Suzuki Level 5. In 2008, she became an SAA Suzuki Piano Teacher Trainer. Sachiko is director of Suzuki School of Newton since 1998, and in 2009 became the director of Suzuki By the Green Piano Institute held in Newton, MA.
