Violin Unit 1
Instructor: Sharon Miller
This unit one course will be held on 4 different weekends through October and November. Observations will be completed through video and on campus lessons through December.
Audition: Violin Basic, or Violin Intermediate, or Violin Comprehensive, or Viola Basic, or Viola Intermediate, or Viola Comprehensive.
Deadline: All audition materials must be submitted by October 5 *
*A discounted Audition Fee applies if audition is submitted before August 20. If submitted within 8-weeks of the course start date, the regular audition fee will apply.

Sharon Miller is the administrative director of the Shenandoah Valley Preparatory Music Program at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) in Harrisonburg, VA that currently serves over 350 students from 5 Virginia counties and West Virginia. She also teaches violin, viola, and Suzuki Pedagogy to preparatory and university students and conducts the Junior Strings ensemble. She enjoys playing with the Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra and other groups in the valley.
Ms. Miller received her M.Ed. (music) from Towson State University and M.M. (Suzuki Pedagogy) from East Carolina University. She is a registered Suzuki Violin Teacher Trainer with the SAA and has taught at Institutes and workshops throughout the United States.
