ISSI Trumpets Play Amazing Grace

The Intermountain Suzuki String Institute was set to begin this week and with it, the first brass training in the US. Kyra Sovronsky, a Suzuki Trumpet teacher in Utah, who was instrumental in helping get this training organized, created this beautiful video featuring her and her students playing “Amazing Grace.”

We are all missing our summer institutes and can’t wait till we can gather together again in community!
[Note: Suzuki Trumpet Teacher Training was scheduled for Intermountain Suzuki String Institute and Calgary Suzuki Institute. We hope the courses will take place in 2021!]

NEWS & INFORMATION
SAA Conference 2020 Logo

With sadness and disappointment, the SAA has officially cancelled the 19th Biennial Suzuki Conference, originally planned for May and rescheduled for September. Student and teacher events alike held promise of being a truly outstanding and memorable Suzuki event.

If you have the opportunity, please acknowledge the work of the Conference Planning Team and the commitments and unrealized opportunities of students, student ensembles, sponsors, exhibitors, and guest clinicians, as well.

Watch for SAA online options in the coming months. We can all hope that many live Suzuki events will return in 2021 and beyond!

If you are enrolled for teacher or student events, you may request a refund of your participation fees by clicking here.

Suzuki Online Seminars—Logo White Highlight

Suzuki Online Seminars (SOS)

The Suzuki Online Seminars (SOS) have been amazing! A few openings still remain for the months of July and August. Over 100 Trainers are participating and over 650 registrations so far.
With no institute training being offered this summer, the Seminars provide opportunities for teachers to refresh and renew their skills!
SOS sessions are interactive, small (6 participants maximum), and 5 hours total, offered over two days’ time. They are intended to enhance unit training, not to replace it. Pre-requisites are ECC or Filosofía and Unit One.

Note: Watch for listings of online Teacher Training in the upcoming months.
