Over 10,000 Views!

Our 2019 Parents as Partners Online program has been a success and there is still plenty of time to register and still participate!

After 10 weeks of new videos, we are releasing two bonus weeks of videos. Some of the past weekly themes have been Parent Encouragement, Brain Development, Communication Strategies, and Practice Games.

Find out answers to questions like:

  • How do you avoid the “Robots?”
  • What phrases are most useful for group class management?
  • Can brain science give us more effective practice strategies?

Look for Bonus Week titles such as, “Working with the Squirrelly Ones,” “Improving Intonation through Sympathetic Vibrations,” and “Life After Lessons.”

All talks will be available online through October 15.

Spa Email

The Time is Now to start planning for a fall or winter SPA course in your area! (Our first SPA for the season is now posted for September in Michigan!)

We would like to schedule at least one SPA course each month from September through March.

Experience hassle-free planning & fret-less hosting—who doesn’t like that?

  • See improvements in teacher/parent cooperation.

  • Watch new collegial connections develop.

  • Raise the levels of excellence achieved in your own teaching.

The SAA needs YOU to host a 2-day SPA course at your school or other program facility!

You provide the location, help spread the word, and brew the coffee. The SAA does almost all of the planning——registrations, contracts, travel & more!

Suzuki Principles in Action © (SPA) may be offered from September through early April. SPA welcomes all Suzuki instrumental, vocal, and Early Childhood teachers who meet the minimum requirements. PLAN NOW! Click here for more about the course, or call the SAA Office for further details.

Reminders to all Active Members:

  • Voting is open for the 2019 Board election. Voting closes on April 22. If you are an SAA member, you can click here to vote.

  • Cherry Blossom Campaign launches soon: Remember to support the SAA during this lovely, online “event” —April 3- April 24

  • SAA’s Annual Meeting: Saturday, May 25, 2019, Deer Creek Lodge, Mt. Stirling, OH

  • Did you forget to register for the 2019 Leadership Retreat? Call the office. We may be able to squeeze you in!
