ASJ Index Now Online

The complete American Suzuki Journal index, dating back to the first issue in 1973, is now available online. Can’t remember where you saw that great article on group lessons or practicing? You can search the index and find the issue and page where it appears. You can also browse the index by authors and topics. Note that this is just an index and the actual articles are not available on the website—that’s where your box of old issues comes in. (You have been saving them, right?)

Remember, the American Suzuki Journal depends on article submissions from members. If you are interested in writing for the ASJ, please contact the editor at

Annual Fund & Holiday Gifts

The 2008 annual fund drive is now underway. The SAA depends on fund-raising efforts to achieve many of its goals, including the teacher scholarship program which aids teachers and teacher trainees in both North and South America. Won’t you join us in contributing to the Annual Fund of the SAA? Your gift assures that our Association can continue to be a working community meeting the needs of its members.

Teachers: Do you have enough holiday ornaments and knick-knacks already? Would you like to offer new ideas to your student families on some great gift concepts? You may wish to suggest a monetary contribution to your teacher training fund, or a donation to the SAA. See the holiday gifts flyer you can post in your studio.
