We Are Suzuki: Embracing the Vision

This nano video, From the First Heartbeat, reflects the powerful impact Suzuki Early Childhood Education can have prior to birth. Produced by Wan Tsai Chen, this nano was shown during the SECE demonstration classes at the 2016 SAA Conference. Teachers and parents alike acknowledged the importance of developing character from the start, laying the foundation for a child to thrive, and enabling both child and parent to grow together.

The SAA was privileged to have Nicolas and Yumi Kendall share their thoughts as part of their keynote conference presentation during the We Are Suzuki Celebration. This special video Our Experience as Suzuki Siblings highlights the impact Suzuki education had on Nick and Yumi’s upbringing, and how Suzuki continues to influence their lives today.

Watch for more conference reports in upcoming Short Score e-newsletters and the American Suzuki Journal vol. 44 no. 4.

Starting planning now to host a SPA course

This two day, cross-instrumental course is designed to help teachers incorporate Suzuki’s principles effectively in their teaching. The inspiration for SPA (Suzuki Principles in Action) came from a need, identified by both Trainers and Teacher Workshop Participants, to deal with the challenges of implementing the knowledge gained from unit courses into the reality of day-to-day studio teaching. Read more about how to host a course and start making your plans for 2016-2017 now. It’s not too early!
