Sassmannshaus early start violin method. I’ve always used just Suzuki books, but read somewhere that these books are very good. Has anyone used them and could you comment how you found them? Thank you

The sassmanshaus book 1 starts with learning all four open strings, then comes high finger 2 (as “cuckoo-thirds”) with string crossing from the upper open string and after that finger 1. I use it (among other books) as a music-reading book when my (older beginner) students are at end of suzuki book 1 (or use additional short pieces with cuckoo-thirds when students have difficulties with lightly row). I highly recommend the step by step books, they are very systematic, efficient—and enjoyable!
