Any teachers know of a decent 1/32 violin their students have outgrown that they may want to sell? I am having a hard time finding one locally.
Thanks.

The Gliga line of violins goes down as far as 1/32. You can get them online at http://www.violinslover.com
Reputable online seller. Their instruments are highly decent, although typically require a little additional set-up after receiving them. We have been very happy with ours, even the 1/32 and 1/16 ones. They actually sound musical, not tinny or nasally, quite a remarkable feat compared to other instruments of their size. (Have heard others at student performances.) Even with the extra set-up required, they are known to be higher-end quality with a low- to medium-range price tag, so good value for your money.

Connie (mshibiku), who posts here frequently, also sells teeny violins that are apparently of good quality at a good price. Haven’t tried them myself, but I’d take her word for it—she always sounds like she definitely knows what she’s talking about :)

Thanks, purple_tulips! I know of two: one is $100 from SAGA music, the other is $400 from Howard Core. Photos are as follows:

K500 from Howard Core

SAGA SV-50 (this one is 1/16 and used)

I contacted SAGA when she mentioned this initially and the distributor has about 30 of these in stock in the 1/32nd size. We’re retailers and I’d be happy to get one for you.
