using Home Concert & Ensemble books?

I think I could make better, more regular use of these volumes. Mostly I play the duet parts myself w/students as they master the pieces. It is one more way of encouraging more repetitions & building up both a student’s independence & listening skills. Do you routinely include either or both in ways you could share? Thanks.

I use the Cello Ensemble book to play duets with my students (being new to teaching they are all in book 1!). Someday I hope to get THEM playing duets and trios. Of course some are ready for Twinkle part 2, I just haven’t given it to them yet.

When I was a violin student (2nd year maybe when I was in book 3?) my teacher picked just a few of us to sometimes attend the first year class which was learning book 1 pieces, playing the 2nd violin part with them. I LOVED that!
