children with dislexia and suzuki

I have a friend wondering if Suzuki study is a good idea for her boy with dislexia. She does not want to frustrate him more and doesn’t have a burning drive for him to play music… but if it is something that can help him excel, something he will like she wants to do it. Does anyone know of an article or teacher’s experience teaching suzuki to children with dislexia?

No solid evidence to offer you, but my son had mild dyslexia and we found Suzuki to be not only helpful for many of those issues but also a great source of self esteem as he struggled with school issues while finding success with music. Since reading is delayed in Suzuki, you can sidestep many of those issues in the beginning stages.
