does anyone know any great tricks to clean bow hair?

Some teachers—particularly in low income areas—will in the summer take all their bows home, carefully unscrew them, and then more carefully, wash the bow hair with bottled handwashing dish detergent.

If you’re careful and don’t get the wood of the sticks wet, I understand it works beautfiully. When they’re dry, you have a whole new set of bows for the school year.
