Hey guys, I thought I’d post a little snippet of my playing to see what you think! I’ve been learning the violin for about 9 months now (without a teacher until just recently) and I just started working on Bach’s Gavotte in D Major (in book 3).

Here’s a sound clip of me playing (sorry about the slightly rushed performance!):

I’ve learnt a great deal from all of you on this forum, so thanks for all your kind help. It has truly helped my learning process. The violin is great fun!

Nice job!
I would make one comment for you to think about, and that is to watch your “high 2’s.” They are just a bit low, and for this piece in particular, your f# and c# need to be on the high side, as the f# is the major third (play an f natural, and you would have a minor scale) and c# is the leading tone.
Keep up the good work!
