Hi all…
Does anyone by any chance know the Japanese words to early violin book 1 pieces? I’m interested specifically in Lightly Row, or “ChoCho,” but I’d welcome as many as you might know!

Thanks-
Jennifer

cho-cho (lightly row)

cho-cho- nano hani tomare
nanohani aitara sakurani tomare
sakurano hanano
hanakara hanae
tomareyo asobe
asobeyo tomare

In fact, many songs in book one are japanese folk tunes. titles of the songs are different between English and Japanese also.

Here’s a link to the Japanese translation of “twinkle, twinkle little star”. http://www.virtualclassroom.org/99/vc_72/song/star.htm Click on the link at the top of the page, and you’ll be able to listen to a recording of it… kinda helps with the pronunciation! :D
