Cello 8
Issue with Backing Track Quality

I purchased a digital copy of the cello book 8 recording from Amazon. There’s an issue with the Fauré Élégie backing track. “Blips of static” are heard around 1:16, 2:27, 3:27, and in a few other instances. This is an issue, as my son is trying to use this backing track during the pandemic, in place of an accompanist. We may need the track for a virtual recital. The pops of static are jarring to even a casual listener, so they are not easily ignored.

I re-purchased the same track from iTunes, but the same issue is present.

My older son tried combining the cello track and the backing track, cross-fading them into each other. He did a good job, but there are issues with the volume. Does anyone know where I can get a good digital version of this backing track?

This sounds like something you should contact the publisher/producer about. I’m assuming that’s probably Alfred. Unfortunately it’s probably not something that will get fixed right away.

I don’t suppose you can order the CD and an optical drive/CD player?
