The SAA has received numerous requests that member email addresses be made available. We are at this

time unable to include email addresses in the annual directory as the cost increases significantly.

Suggestions have been made that we create a member’s secure area (accessible only by login and password)

where members’ email addresses could be looked up by member name.

We greatly appreciate your feedback on

this topic.

I’d actually prefer my email address be available

rather than my home address be public. Is there a chance that people could choose one or the other without it

affecting the cost?

I would want to make sure that there is some

(attempt at least) safeguard against having our names end up on some spam mailing list. Otherwise, I think it

would be a good idea.

I think it’s a fine idea, especially since the

emails would only be accessible to other SAA members and accessing them would require a log-in (I’m assuming with

our SAA number and a password).

Gosh no wonder we are not satisfied with what SAA

does for us,especially when this “major issue” is one of the first times we hear from admin online. I know it is

such a “burning issue” over such things as offering hope through better group medical plans, pensions etc etc.Glad

you have you priorities on what teachers urgently need………..

The Suzuki Xchange is intended to be a place where

parents, teachers, students, and anyone interested in Suzuki Method can share and communicate to one another,

therefore the SAA does not normally receive inquiries or concerns through the bulletin board, but rather they are

addressed directly to our office by phone, email or letter. We have a staff person whose duties include health

insurance and I have asked her to reply to the concerns about health insurance, but also welcome you to contact

our office specifically with concerns or complaints. I am not aware if pension plans are being looked into and so

will bring up your concern there also.

It makes sense to do it on line where you would

use it. Makes no sence t have it printed in a book where an email is unuseable. The directory would be much

easier to use on line. And could be cross indexed for more purposes and search more easily.

I would

simply give you an email from my collection that would be designed specifically for this purpose.

We could

also up date our information and save you the hassel of mailing us. Save money by making the hard copy

directory available upon reqest.

Next project would be to create a method for online membership

registration.

I still like getting the Journal in Hard copy. But sometimes you want to bring a

particular article to your parents attention.
