Piano Lessons over Skype?

At this time in our life, it’s hard to get out of the house and go to piano lessons. We really don’t want to quit though! My six year old is currently working on French Children’s song, hands together in Book 1. She is not reading music yet, but has a great ear. Anyone looking for a fabulous, angelic student to teach over Skype?

Thanks so much!!

I think Skype is a great option….but not for kids…especially in book 1. A lot of attention has to be made of everything….feet, back posture, hands, focus, etc….and I could go on forever. I do a lot by touch and find Skype to be very impersonal and a detriment to a child’s progress. A good relationship with both parent & child is hard enough to develop without a tv approach hindering it. Show your child how much you love her and take her to her lesson. It’s your time together. Pretty soon she won’t be six anymore and you’ll soon regret the times you missed doing things with her. They grow up REAL fast!
