Needing tips for scheduling 40+ private lessons between 2 teachers in a Suzuki music teachers co-op. Plus our four 45-minute group classes per week. We start in October.

I was looking at Sign Up Genius, Smart Lessons & Music Teachers Helper. Anyone like any of these or have another to suggest?

It would be nice if one of these would text the parents reminders about lessons so I would never have to do it again! Although the app called Connect works really well for sending group texts—20 at a time.

Have you checked out MyMusicStaff? It sends text reminders and it allows parents to see a full studio schedule or just their own events (their choice by click of a button). I find this more useful than MTH in terms of the schedule and reminders!

Hi! I was just about to mention mymusicstaff…works like a gem! Sends out reminders when you want. I have monthly group class so it’s tricky for parents to keep track of everything. My reminders go out the Thursday before their scheduled group class. The calendar also syncs with iCal and google calendars. My families love mymusicstaff.

I also use my music staff. Yes it requires a monthly fee of $13 but the time it saves is invaluable! I love that I get my very own website which the families can log onto with their own password. Students can track practice, check their schedule, and parents can see all the lessons in groups classes for the entire year. It also handles my billing. Whether you Bill monthly, weekly, or even by groups of 8 or 10 lessons, this program makes building easy. You can choose to send out your own bills which the program will generate for you, or you can have the program send out bills for you at a predetermined interval. It keeps track of your income and expenses, if you so choose. It also yracks attendance, lesson notes and sends receipts.

Yay! This program is also much cuter than the others.
