Can someone please tell me if there is a revised viola CD for book 1 that has introductions in the beginning of the songs?
I use the cd for the concert, and without intros, the kids scramble to come in with the cd.
Thank you so much!

It took me 2 days, but I scanned the violin accompaniment sheet music into my Sibelius program, transposed it to viola, cut and pasted an intro, copied the audio music to my desktop, transferred into Itunes, then to my ipad. Now the music is ready for a concert that can be performed with violin, viola, and cello. They can all play at once, together, as a group. The violins just have to go down 1 string. . . . .Whew!

I believe Kerstin Wartberg’s viola step by step book 1a has introductions—however that would not be all of the pieces.

If you have an electronic piano that you can hook up to play MIDI files, Linda Perry has MIDI accompaniment recordings (there is a viola book 1; for books 2-3 you could use the violin MIDI files, as they are easily transposable).

I would suggest that hiring a professional pianist to play at your concerts—or to at least make recordings for your use—would yield a better result than a computer performing a rendition from sheet music.
