Is there a generally acceptable fee or a standard fee set forth by the SAA to charge observers (for Suzuki Workshops)?

I don’t know about “standard” but Hartt charges $100 for the week and I’ve been there a few times:

I believe there are observer fees at all institutes. It’s up to the institute to decide how much. Trainer’s fees vary I suppose. It’s not much when compared to the full fee you would pay to actually take the unit and submit it to the SAA. But what a deal if you just need a refresher at a certain level. Observing is the best way to learn.

In Southern California ( Los Angeles) it used to cost 25 or 35$ a day, but last time( a few years ago it was free if you had a membership with SMACLA. Blessings, Friederike

It seems I get the worst deal at Beaver Creek, $100/day or $400/session.
I have thought many times of going to observe, but between the cost of the lodging and the observer fees, it ends up being a deterrent more than an encouragement to go.

That’s lot of money or what session are you talking about? do you talk about observing the teacher training as an audit? Bec that would make sense, just observing student master classes shouldn’t cost that much.

Yes, I know. A session is a regular one week course (6 days)., the ones usually held in the summer. This is for observing students. Here is the page where you can see it.

Enjoy all the observations you can at a low cost!
