Handel Sonata, why the change?

Just wondering why the revised edition of the violin rep (book 6) has a change in it with the addition of material that does not exist in the original (at least in the original that I have).

Further, a lot of these revised editions leave a lot to be desired.

The Breitkopf & Härtel edition has this “extra” material. What is difficult is that I did not have a revised piano part for the revised book that contained the additional material. Maybe that’s been corrected now, but I had to remember to find a copy of the other piano part.
