Can anyone recommend a contest in the Denver area for students in piano and cello? Ages 8-12. These students are good, all taking private lessons, all working hard, but not rock stars, so the more serious ones for money would not be applicable. If anyone could pass along a website, I would be grateful. Thanks! Gina

The Boulder Bach Festival has a nice contest for pianists and strings. I really like that the prize is not a material award, but rather the prestige of playing on stage in the beautiful concert hall inside the Boulder Library. www.boulderbachfestival.org/education

CASTA, the Colorado chapter of ASTA has adjudications (not a contest), that are graded in levels 1-10. These adjudications give the students a nice goal and focus building up to them, without the added stress of a competition.
