I have used the “I Can Read Music” series with some of my students.

Also useful:

“Quick Steps to note Reading” by Muller, Rusch, and Fink. Published by Kjos.

“Adventures in Music Reading” by William Starr. Published by Summy-Birchard.

One of the books i use is Suzanne Schrek : sight reading……. it is non melodic so students really have to read the notes. I use it at the lesson only.

I have used “I can read music” and also Suzanne Schrek’s book. the Schrek book has a funky way of notating key signatures that I don’t appreciate. I like the “I can read…” book because it is easy to see, and it includes rhythm lessons.
