An opportunity for a cello teacher

Perhaps there is a cellist/teacher who is reading this, or to whom readers could refer my inquiry…

I am looking for a cello teacher in transition who would like to be offered room and board, some team-teaching in my studio, and some gigging in my area this year as my family changes gears and things shift for me. I have a mature, lively, large studio (students ages three through adult, including college-age students and also pre-professional middle and high-school age students who play major repertoire). This is a wonderful group of families and individuals.

Due to some shifts in family life (notably, my husband taking a temporary job out of state), I need to cut back on my teaching, and also would love to have a colleague with whom to share this wonderful studio rather than cutting it down. I live in a beautiful part of the country (Blue Ridge Mountains) in a lovely setting.

Please spread the word, and be in touch if you know of someone who would be interested. I am looking most likely for a woman, someone who has had Suzuki training at least through Book Three, and is a good cellist and musician who is interested in community-building. I would be interested in a commitment to this arrangement from August or September through May of 2016. There might be a possibility of continuing for the following year as well.

Thank you!

Looks like fun… for someone out there! I shared on the Suzuki Teaching Ideas facebook page.
