Good classical violin music

My girls started Suzuki violin this summer. They love it and they are progressing rapidly. (They learned Twinkle Variation A at this point). I would like to expose them to some other great violin music, other than the Book 1 CD, which my whole family is singing now, as we listen to it 2-3 times per day. What are some good CDs that we can listen to as a family? (Preferably more soothing, such as the suzuki one)

There’s lots of great stuff out there. :)

However, I’d first recommend any of the violin/piano pieces by Fritz Kreisler. They are mainstays in the repertoire and there are dozens of major artists who have recorded them. Apparently, Suzuki was a great fan…

Start with getting other Suzuki CD’s. If you want to jump ahead find a CD with the Mozart Concertos Nos. 4 and 5, or even music by Vivaldi (Concerto in A Minor).

You could choose other Suzuki CD’s if that’s what you want to stay with. I agree with Caitlin on Mozart and Vivaldi, beautiful and soothing all at the same time.
