I would be very, very grateful for a easy cello accompaniment part to the book 6 La Folia!
I really need it urgently and have no time (nor nerves …) to sit down and write myself.
Thank you so much for assistance!

Well in Corelli’s day, the cello would have played the bass in the keyboard.

Yes, I thought it would be that way but I hoped, this piece had already been played sometime (during the last decades or centurys..) with a easy cello-acc. to it so that there maybe already exist one written part. It’s such a long piece and I’m not really looking forward to sitting down for hours, isolating the bass line, writing everything manually.. Maybe some cello- or violin teacher out there has already done this work and would be so kind and let me aquire it..?

Perhaps xerox the part and cut and paste? That would isolate the line. You own the part so you would simply be re-arranging it. There also is good music writing software out there to type it out on your computer.

Since La Folia is written over a ground bass, you can use any of the easier bass lines over and over. As Michelle says, cut and paste.

I read the bass line of the keyboard score often. Only the odd time do I find a note lower than C which has to be moved up an octave.

Musescore is a pretty easy-to-use free manuscript program if you don’t want to photocopy and manually cut/paste, if you don’t find someone else has already written it out.
