Do You mean this one? https://v3.apollon.nta.co.jp/suzukimethod/sanka
It is because everything is sold out but the banquet. Grab one of those tickets- plus if you fly into Narita—てぇyウィllはヴぇてぇNICEST bus probably with lunch to take us to Mastsumoto in comfort- only Suzuki People! - better than taking the dirty, smoky train and cheaper too!. OH ALSO WE MIGHT be able to get tickets for concerts at The door of each concert—their main hall is HUGE疎!!Holds 40,000 I heard. I called the Kaikan (Dr. Suzuki’s School) they are offering a free simulcast on a Jumbo Tron of the Concert- LIVE at another location for all of people who are too late for tickets!!Or we can try to get tickets at the door of ythe concert if people don’t go which will definitely happen. People will buy tickets and miss the concert. SO we try to get tickets at thedoor of the Concert.
If no tickets then rush in a taxi to the next biggest hall (I’m certain they will have a map to the location)to watch the Giant Jumbo Tron with excellent SOUND since Japanese build these things they must have the best sounding ones in the world -great sound -if they have no tickets to get at the door there well..... I am calling the School again tonight to ask if we all need to get our free tickets to the Jumbo Tron somehow? Crazy huh? But the banquet is AMAZING! Astounding delicious food and presentation back in 1999 woooo and we all got Shikishis too! so Maybe we will again??? RainJen- If you go for sure please write me email or a message me here If you want... and
we can plan to meet somewhere in Matsumoto maybe OK?? Have you ever been to Matsumoto before? Thanks RainJen :)

Hey Suzanne!!!

I want to go, but am waiting to start getting a paycheck again to see if I can afford it (curse of the teacher). Hopefully not everything is sold out and I can swing it!

Hello I am interested in going to the conference. I would also like to travel with a group before the conference. I remember reading something a while back about a tour taking place. Could someone please tell me where I can find this information on the site?

Thank you

Thanks Suzanne for the offer of help. I think I figured out the registration page… yes, part of my confusion was the fact that the concerts are all sold out.

Marietta and Gretchen, if you haven’t already registered, I think it may be too late! The registration site now says that they have reached their limit of 4,000 participants.

I am still “iffy” about the world conference. I have a plane ticket ( purchased ) tickets to concerts and registration all paid for, I have a friend to room with and a hotel to stay in ( still saving to pay her for that yikes) and I have NO spending money for food and extras. I have had to cut down on my studio because of migraines and other health problems and I’m having problems making the last money I need…..It’s the economy getting worse and worse….. So like I said I’m iffy. Then again this is the girl who hit Tokyo at age 23 coming from Hong Kong with only 10 yen to my name! I made one phone call to Susanna or Cassie Han and BAM they sent a taxi to pick me up, paid for the taxi and we had so much fun that night! I wonder if either of them are going? Susanna’s students performed BEAUTIFULLY in Torino. What should I do—Merrietta what is you status?

By the time I got the money for registration, there wasn’t any room. So, alas, I am not going! I’m really upset because I REALLY wanted to go!! This is thinking WAY outside of the box, but could you send a box of soups and food to the hotel ahead of time and have them hold it for you? You could request a fridge and microwave in your room—you may be able to take care of most meals that way. No idea if that would work, but it’s worth looking into. GOOD LUCK!! If I were there we’d be eating together!

Oh Marietta! I’m SOOO they ran out of room….. May be can take iPad videos to send to your email!
Your idea is a good one but even better , now my husband has offered to help me make up the difference himself!!! Yay for supportive husbands!!! Oh I wish so much that we could be eating in Japan together. I would take you to my Japanese Mom’s Restaurant! Her food is absolutely delicious! I just sold my new 1012 skis on EBay and made a little more towards the hotel… So things are looking up!!! What would you like videos of? Love, Suzanne

Anybody else want to meet up for lunch or to attend a concert or teacher session together?

I’ve lived in Japan, so I’ll be arriving in Tokyo several days early and just taking the train into Matsumoto myself on the 26th. I’d love to have people to hang with once I get there, though!!

Getting excited! New passport arrived in the mail the other day and also a packet of welcome / orientation information from the convention organizers. Now all I have to do is pack, and learn Japanese.

Oh, wait, one of those “to do” items might take longer than the remaining time before my flight. ;-P
