Hi from Chig,

I have a wonderful book on posture for violin : How Muscles Learn—Teaching the Violin with the body in mind by Susan Kempter . I would like to find a similar book for piano . Can anyone give me some suggestions .

Hello!

A great book is called “What Every Pianist Needs to Know About the Body” by Thomas Mark. It also includes notes for organists. It is quite detailed, and comes from the view of preventing injury and how we move our bodies to play the piano. I bought mine from Amazon.

Thanks Swan

I’ve got a copy of that book now too which is very good and it’s improved my playing already .

Cheers Chig
