Question for Suzuki teachers—so, I am very confused about these revised viola editions. How come they don’t sell the books and CDs together like the do with the violin? Also regarding book 3, it seems the 2009 revised edition of the Bach Bourree incorporates the same changes at the revised violin edition but I can seem to find a corresponding CD. Every CD I am finding is dated much earlier. Help—I don’t want my kids listening to now wrong notes and bowings.

One more thing—is there a 2009 or newer revision of bk 6 or 7 out there? I only found the newly revised bk 8 for sale.

From what I know they are slowly, but surely catching everything up—including the recordings. Just keep checking with one of the music companies. Not sure about the CD issue, though.

If you’re very worried about the notes/bowings, ask your teacher to make a recording from the revised edition for you.

As far as I know this cd is the revised edition with the changes:

But I will check for sure and post again with a more accurate response.
