Mrs. Marie Kusters

Violin, Suzuki Early Childhood Education Teacher SAA Member

Marie Kusters (B.Ed.) is a violinist, teacher and mother of three Suzuki trained musicians (violin, viola and cello). She has taught elementary school and has also trained in early childhood education specialty.

Marie is extensively trained in the Suzuki Violin Method as well as Kindermusik, which is a music and movement program for children from birth to age 7. She has taught Suzuki violin since 1986 and has offered the Kindermusik program since 1993. She presently has a studio of 25 violin students and 70 Kindermusik students in Ottawa, Ontario. She is a teacher trainer and mentor with Kindermusik International and has been a clinician at Suzuki Institutes and workshops in the Maritimes, Ontario and Quebec. She is fully fluent in both French and English.

Marie Kusters (B.Ed.) est une violoniste, enseignante et mère de trois musiciens Suzuki (violon, alto et violoncelle). Elle a enseigné à l’école élémentaire et a reçu une formation en éducation des tout petits.

Marie a une formation extensive dans la méthode Suzuki pour violon ainsi qu’en Kindermusik, un programme de musique et mouvement pour les enfants de la naissance jusqu’à 7 ans. Elle enseigne le violon Suzuki depuis 1986, et Kindermusik depuis 1993. Son studio à Ottawa (Ontario) compte actuellement 25 élèves de violon et 70 de Kindermusik. Elle est professeur et mentor dans la formation de professeurs en Kindermusik et a enseigné le violon dans des Instituts Suzuki aux Maritimes en Ontario et au Québec. Elle parle couramment le français et l’anglais.
