Lisa Miles

Violin, Viola, Suzuki in the Schools, Suzuki Early Childhood Education Teacher SAA Member

Lisa Miles grew up in a Suzuki environment, mentored at institutes by fine teachers like Dr. John Kendall. In 1986, she began teaching violin and mentoring her own studio. She received S.A.A. Teacher Training from Yuko Honda and Lesa Longay. She created Suzuki programs in three states, and has a background teaching in the Montessori classroom and bringing Suzuki violin to the Montessori environment. Many of her students have gone on to becoming professional musicians or have chosen the path of being a Suzuki Violin Teacher. Mrs. Miles believes in teaching the whole child, and that love for children extends to their family, friends pets and all the things in the child’s world. Her love for humanity inspires a continued life-long dedication to personal growth, child development, education, music, service and community building, and Suzuki’s philosophies that have positively impacted so many.
