Lisa Lederer has guided hundreds of violin students in their discovery of their own special talents for almost a quarter century. An exponent of the Suzuki Method, Ms. Lederer trained at New England Conservatory and the American Suzuki Institute and is registered through Book 8 with Suzuki Association of Americas (SAA). She holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Boston University with additional post-graduate studies at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA.

She is a past Director of the Massachusetts Suzuki Festival, past President and past Membership Secretary of Suzuki:MA and has also served on the Suzuki:MA violin committee. She has been a guest clinician at workshops and festivals throughout the New England area.

Lisa Lederer is an accomplished performer who freelances extensively in the Boston and New England area and has performed with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Boston Ballet, New Hampshire Symphony, Portland (ME) Symphony, Rhode Island Philharmonic, as well as many choral and chamber groups.

Ms. Lederer is on the faculty of the Longy School of Music where, as Director of Suzuki Programs (twenty years), she developed its Suzuki Program. She is currently Director of the Longy Summer Suzuki Program. Lisa Lederer is also on the faculty of the Somerville Public Schools String Camp and is a former faculty member of New School of Music and the Bedford Public Schools after school string program.
