LeeAnn Sutton received a Bachelor of Music degree in Viola Performance and Music Education from Ithaca College, where she graduated magna cum laude and a Master of Music in Viola Performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She received her Suzuki Certification from William Starr and has also done additional studies with Carrie Reuning-Hummel, Sandy Reuning, and Janis Butler. LeeAnn’s viola teachers include Erika Eckert, Geraldine Walther, Debra Moree, and Helen Louise Fohrhaltz

LeeAnn has attended the Adriatic Chamber Music Festival in Bonefero, Italy, and The Brevard Music Center. She has performed in master classes with Victoria Chaing, William Preucil, The Diaz Trio and Malcolm Bilson.

Previous teaching experience includes employment with the Ithaca City School District, The New York ASTA String Institute at Ithaca College, Boulder Suzuki Strings and coachings with the High Plains Youth Symphony Orchestra.

LeeAnn currently enjoys an active career as a freelance violist and teaches Suzuki Viola at The Longy School of Music, Preparatory Program in Cambridge, MA.
