Enid Wood teaches violin privately in Bastrop, TX and is in demand as a writer, lecturer, and workshop teacher. Enid started piano lessons with her mother at the age of 5, and began learning to play the violin at the age of 9 in a public school program in El Paso. She earned degrees in Music, Art, and Elementary Education at Westminster College in Salt Lake City and went on for a Master of Arts degree in Music Education at San Francisco State University and earned a second masters degree in an interdisciplinary arts degree program at Yale. She taught violin in New Haven, London, St. Albans, and Pittsburgh before moving to central Texas. While in England she was Editor of the British Suzuki Journal, Ability Development.
