Flutists’ Program Offerings

In addition to master classes and a session “Good Vibrations” by Flute Clinician, Bart Feller, Flute Teachers will be able to take part in sessions by Sasha Garver, Jane Lenoir, Stephanie Pedretti, Noelle Perrin, Kelly Williamson and Mary Halverson Waldo. Teachers will have opportunities to observe Flute Choir rehearsals with Sasha Garver and participate in round-table discussions and a lunch get-together.

Susan Friedlander is a Suzuki Flute Instructor. Her flute studies have included work with Samuel Baron, Thomas Nyfenger, Karl Kraber and Toshio Takahashi. She holds Orff and Kodaly certifications. Her published works include musical arrangements for Tomie DePaola’s Book of Christmas Carols, Nursery Songs and Lullabies, illustrated by Bessie Pease, and All Things Bright and Beautiful, published by Platt & Munk. Ms. Friedlander is on the faculties of the Third Street Musical School Settlement, Lucy Moses School for Music and Dance and the JCC on the Palisades. She is co-director of the Great Lakes Suzuki Flute Institute.
