Julie Gorka NCTM
Julie Gorka has taught Suzuki piano and composition for 37 years. She has a B.A. in music (piano performance) from Beloit College in Wisconsin. She has a full studio of enthusiastic students in Raleigh, North Carolina. She enjoys adjudicating for Piano Guild Auditions and teaching master classes at a nearby music school. She taught composition and theory at the Colorado Suzuki Institute for five years.
She has national certification from MTNA and Suzuki training from institutes from WIsconsin to Peru.
Julie plays in several Celtic or folk music groups, including the Celtic and contra dance band Copious Notes, and plays harp in the Irish band Southwind.
