Gwendoline Thornblade

Gwendoline Thornblade, educated at St. Paul’s Girls’ School, is a graduate of both the Royal Dental Hospital, London University and Boston University (B.D.Sc., M.Sc.D.). She began her second career as an involved Suzuki mother and has taught in the Newton Public Schools, The All Newton Music School, New England Conservatory, including chamber music coaching, and the Longy School, as well as Suzuki Institutes in the USA and Canada and international workshops. A founding member of the Suzuki Music Schools of Massachusetts, (SuzukiMA) she has organized annual MA Suzuki Festivals and many workshops.

In addition to several other music associated boards, she has served on the board of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and currently on the Board of the Association of Chamber Music Players, Inc Chamber Music Network.

She has two daughters who are professional musicians in Boston and LA. In her spare time she can be found swinging a tennis racquet on the tennis courts.
