Grace Park

Grace Park is currently a 5th grader in a gifted class at Stratton Elementary School in Champaign, IL, and she is so excited to go to a middle school this fall. Since she was eight, she has taken violin lessons from Mrs. Stephanie Price, teaching in Champaign, IL and parent of six Suzuki-trained children. More recently, Grace started taking flute and voice lessons. Her musical interest and talent provided her with many opportunities to perform in front of a large audience. She played the violin together with other students of Mrs. Price at a Regional TaeKwonDo Tournament in fall 2010 in Tolono, IL and at the 30th Anniversary of the Western Springs School of Talent Education at the Orchestra Hall in Chicago, IL in spring 2011. Despite her busy schedule with many music lessons, she has listened to Dr. Suzuki’s advice, “Practice each day you eat.” As a result, she demonstrated superior performances at an Annual Solo Ensemble Music Festival in Decatur, IL in 2009, 2010, and 2011.
