Flutist David Gerry is on the faculty of McMaster University, Mohawk College and the Great Lakes Flute Centre. He is also the music specialist at Trail Ridge Montessori School and is a registered teacher trainer for the SAA and the European Suzuki Association. He is currently a PhD candidate studying music cognition at the School of Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour at McMaster University with Dr. Laurel Trainor. David was awarded a grant from the Grammy Foundation for Music Education in Los Angeles to study the cognitive, social and perceptual outcomes of infant-parent Suzuki music classes.
