Driftwood Violin

There is a story that goes with this violin that was used to lead each piece. Holding it is Koen Rens just before he lead a piece on the Farewell Concert. After the earthquake, this violin was made from a piece of driftwood that was found on the beach. The husband of Mihoko Hirata’s former student made it. they want to have it played in 1,000 performances within 10 years.
