Audition: Cello Basic, or Cello Intermediate, or Cello Comprehensive. Audition due by June 9. Late audition with additional fee accepted until August 9. See video audition guide for details.

Sally Gross is cello director at the Western Springs School of Talent Education and the Naperville Suzuki School. She holds a bachelor of music degree from Northern Illinois University, where she studied with Marc Johnson, and a master’s of music in Suzuki pedagogy from Ithaca College, where she worked with Carey Beth Hockett and Sandy and Joan Reuning. Before returning to the Chicago area in 2004, Sally taught at the Suzuki String School of Guelph in Ontario where she was also artistic coordinator. She is currently celebrating her 30th year as a Suzuki cello teacher and still loves every minute of it. In 2008 Sally was the coordinator for the SAA conference. In 2010 she was one of nine teachers in the country awarded the SAA Certificate of Achievement. She has been a teacher trainer since 1990.
