Violin
The violin committee for our 2008 Conference (Lucy Shaw, Margot Jewell, coordinators) is deep into plans for many exciting sessions and classes. We are pleased to present our master teacher, the internationally acclaimed conductor and violinist, Joseph Silverstein. Mr. Silverstein is a long time supporter of Suzuki education, and an SAA honorary board member. In addition to master classes Mr. Silverstein will present a session on his life in music, sure to be a highlight of his participation in the conference.
We invite and encourage you to contribute your ideas and proposals for sessions in the violin area. Currently, possible topic areas and session ideas include exploration of different music editions, psychology and/or ideas pertaining to group class teaching, passion for Pre-Twinklers, music theory for violin teachers, and more!
Plan now to attend Conference 2008—expand your vision for your place and involvement in the SAA and the ever growing importance and significance of Suzuki education in the world of music education.
