Job Listing Guide

Thank you for your interest in our job listings ad pages in the quarterly American Suzuki Journal and the Suzuki Association of the Americas website. We offer two types of rates per quarter year: $45 for the journal only; $70 for the journal and the website; $70 for the website only. (We do not offer a special price for listings on the website only.) Our website job page receives between 2000-3000 views monthly from internet users.

All fees must be paid in advance in order for your copy to be posted. This can be done with a credit card (Visa or MC) or check (made out to SAA). If in a school system or college that requires a purchase order and invoicing procedure, you can be invoiced, so long as the invoice is paid prior to the insertion deadlines for each issue noted below; the text will not be posted until the invoice is paid. (We only offer invoicing for those situations.) Our billing person sends receipts for credit card purchases. You can email or fax the text and call with a credit card if you wish to expedite things. We prefer text emailed to [javascript protected email address]

Ads received between deadlines for the journal will be posted after the coming deadline for the journal, and posted to the website within 2 weeks of payment receipt. There are no deadlines for the website.

Ad copy cannot be longer than 200 words, including our headings. (In writing the ad, if you are using Word to draft it, under the Tools menu, there is a word count function that will count your ad by word.)

We reserve the right to edit for length, page fit (journal) and stylistic consistency as needed, which may not occur until well after your submission and payment. We will of course do our best to preserve the descriptive content and vital details you give us. We do not send proofs.

Please inform us if you wish to renew the ad for the next quarter. If our courtesy reminders about those renewal deadlines to you (by email if an address was given) are not answered by the renewal date, your ad will be allowed to expire. Please remember that the quarter year web terms above means 90 days from the date it was posted to the web (visible online).

Please inform us once you have filled the position if you selected the web, so that we can take it off our website. This is a courtesy to potential applicants using our job page.

Journal deadlines:

  • Fall: September 15
  • Winter: December 15
  • Spring: March 15
  • Summer: June 15

Each issue is usually published towards the end of the season it is named for. Like many small quarterlies, we not do guarantee a time of publication.
